(Genesis, Chapter 1) From the very beginning of his Word, God has chosen to employ this same very simple seven step process and the Lampstand of His Purpose. He could have, of course, simply created the world all at once, just by speaking it into existence. However, He chose to do it in separate steps so that we might see His Signature today as he reveals more and more of Himself. |

1. INITIATES: On the very first day of creation, God established light in the darkness. His Son would be that light to all the world, particularly to mankind. 2. SEPARATES: On day two, He separated the waters above from those below, creating heaven. 3. SEED/WORD: On day three God created dry land amidst the water and brought forth trees and vegetation, all with their own specifically mentioned seeds for replication. 4. EARLY HARVEST: On day four, He created time and seasons by the sun and the moon and the stars. These are the means by which we plan our agricultural cycles. 5. AWAKENS: On the fifth day God awakened life upon the earth, swarming first in the seas, and then birds of the air. 6. REDEEMS: On day six, God created the warm blooded beasts of the earth who would provide a sacrificial system by which Man, His ultimate creation of the day, might eventually approach Him. By the blood of His very own Son, Jesus, we do that today. 7. GOD RESTS: Having completed His purposes in the works He had done, and having appointed Man to rule over his creation, He rested. Day seven is a day of rest. From the foundation of the world in Genesis, clear to the end of the age in Revelation, and countless times in between, God is faithful to reveal His Lampstand. |
