Is it really so surprising then that God would actually employ this Lampstand of His Purpose in our own individual lives? If we are objective, and can overcome our pride and selfish tendencies, the same seven-step process is clearly visible. God is a just and loving Father who knows our best interests, even before we do. Keep in mind that this whole process is designed to ultimately draw us closer and closer to Him, but on His terms. We enter that presence only by accepting His Son Jesus and His finished work on the Cross.

1. INITIATES: God establishes his purpose for our lives when He calls us. He calls us, not the other way around.

2. SEPARATES: God begins to set us aside, cleaning us up, and generally removing the "leaven" of our previous way of life. For some of us, this can be painful and take years. But God knows His ultimate intention.

3. SEED/WORD: His third step always involves His Word. Even if we ignore the Bible, He is still faithful, displaying its truth daily in the course of human events. Watch for some amazing prophecies to unfold now.

4. EARLY HARVEST: God is not mocked, nor is he "discouraged". Nominal Christianity is at least going in the right direction, and "being a good person" is desirable.

5. AWAKENS: God brings about a sudden spiritual awakening in us that reveals the fact that there are far more wonderful things to know about this God we serve.

6. REDEEMS: God has placed an open door before us. One that we may enter to His Throne of Grace. But only by the shed blood of the Lamb, The Son of God.

7. GOD RESTS: Having accomplished His great plan for redemption, God rests in His Completed Purposes, on earth, as well as in Heaven. To God be the Glory!
