The Rev 13 is the place
where all of this is recorded in Scripture "I was looking in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea. And four great beasts were coming up from the sea, different from one another. The first was like a LION and had the wings of an eagle." (Historians agree, this has always been the symbol for the Babylonian Kingdom, now Iraq.) I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man; a human mind also was given to it. (Think Saddam Hussein) "And behold, another beast, a second one, resembling a BEAR. And it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth; and thus they said to it, 'Arise and devour much meat!'" (Those same Historians have determined that this was the Kingdom of the Medes and the Persians, which succeeded the Babylonian Kingdom.) "After this I kept looking, and behold, another one, like a LEOPARD, which had on its back four wings of a bird; the beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it." (These Historians have designated this to represent the Kingdom of Greece, which divided into four separate kings, and their kingdoms shortly after Alexander the Great conquered the Medes and the Persians.) (Note that three different and succeeding kingdoms were spawned from the same geographic area over centuries.) "After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth." (Our Historians have opted to call this the Roman Empire. Undoubtedly, this represents the present Kingdom of the Gentiles, as the continuing Scriptures describe.) "It devoured and crushed, and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns." (Tradition and Theologians agree that these ten horns are a part of the Kingdom of the Antichrist at the end of the age.) Note that Daniel makes no mention of anything about seeing seven heads. WHERE THEN ARE THE SEVEN HEADS? To complete the picture, we must go to The Book of Revelation, to the 13th Chapter, where John sees another beast also "coming up out of the sea." Note the next paragraph. It is extremely important. As John records what he sees, we notice that the beast he is describing is made up of exactly the same animals as Daniel wrote about in his night vision. HOWEVER, THEY ARE IN THE EXACT REVERSE ORDER. (Ten Kings, Leopard, Bear, and Lion. Note that all of the animals that signified those great kingdoms in Daniel are now greatly diminished in stature. There is nothing left of the winged lion that was Babylon except a mouth.) It is no wonder that Satan is able to instill his power into this beast. But look closely. In verse one it mentions THE SEVEN HEADS, then in verse two describes the beast and its animal components. Then in verse three, John says of these heads, "And I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast…" If we continue to read in Rev 13, we see more of Satan and the Antichrist and their involvement with this original or "first" beast. It is worth noting then that the wound to the head was a " WOUND OF THE SWORD." If you follow the flow, then, it is highly plausible that when war comes to Iraq, where Saddam is the Lion with plucked wings and a mind of a man, a serious wound (the wound of the sword) is about to be administered. And the entire world will see it done. Even
if you have always scoffed at Prophecy and seeing it fulfilled in our day
is something you think will never happen, please stop and think. Why in
the world would we, The United States and the most powerful nation in the
history of the world, be brought to the point of confronting a Fourth Rate,
backward military entity on the other side of the world, if it's not God?
